Third-Party Cookies
Third-party cookies are allowed by default for compatibility, but you can change this:

Blocking third-party cookies improves privacy but may break:

Clear Site Data
Comet allows you to remove cookies, cache, and stored data for individual sites or all sites at once.
Where to manage it:

Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data
Clearing site data signs you out of most accounts and resets site preferences.

Safe Browsing & Malware Defense
Comet uses built-in protections to help detect:
Known malicious websites
Dangerous downloads
Sites attempting phishing
Malware-hosting domains
When a threat is detected, Comet warns you before the page loads.
These checks rely on frequently updated, privacy-preserving lists. Personal browsing content is not sent to external services.
Password Manager & Autofill Security
Comet autofill is designed to work only on verified domains.
Autofill does not activate on suspicious or mismatched sites.
Passwords are decrypted locally only after your OS verifies your identity (Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello).
Comet cannot read or export passwords unless you explicitly choose to do so.

Incognito Mode Behavior (for browsing safety only)
In Incognito mode:
Comet does not save browsing history, cookies, or cache
Third-party cookies remain blocked unless explicitly allowed
Extensions are disabled unless manually enabled
Network-level tracking (e.g., by your ISP or employer) is still possible.
