How to Install Comet (Windows & Mac)
The following steps apply to both operating systems.
Go to the Download page
Download the installer, it is compatible with whichever OS this is in.
Run the downloaded installer file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Allow the installer to make changes if prompted.
Launch Comet after installation finishes. Sign in to your Perplexity account and create a profile, follow instructions as prompted.
For browser import options, navigate to “Profile” or “Settings” within Comet to import data from another browser.
System Requirements for Comet
Please make sure you meet the system requirements for running Comet, if these are not met, we can’t guarantee stable access to the browser.
Supported operating systems: Windows 10 or later, macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
Processor: Intel, AMD, or Apple Silicon for Mac
At least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended for best performance)
500 MB of available disk space
Stable internet connection required for installation and ongoing updates
Latest versions of graphics and network drivers recommended
Troubleshooting tips:
If installation fails, make sure your device meets all minimum system requirements and has the latest OS updates installed.
Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall if it’s blocking the installer.
Restart your computer and try the installation again.
