Computer in Microsoft 365, context panel, and analytics dashboards

Perplexity Computer in Microsoft 365

Computer is now available directly inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams — bringing AI workflows into the Microsoft 365 apps used by hundreds of millions of people every day.

Microsoft 365 users can now use Computer to draft documents, analyse spreadsheets, build presentations, and manage communication using the context already across their files, emails, and workflows.

Use Computer across Microsoft apps to:

  • In Excel: “Analyser this quarterly workbook, identify the biggest revenue changes, and summarise the key drivers.”
  • In Word: “Turn my meeting notes and research docs into a polished project brief with action items.”
  • In PowerPoint: “Create a board update deck from the finance workbook in Excel, with charts pulled from named ranges and every figure cited back to the source sheet.”
  • In Outlook: “Draft a reply to this email and prioritise the most urgent follow-ups.”

Computer in Microsoft 365 is available for all Pro, Max, Enterprise Pro, and Enterprise Max plans.

Computer usage analytics

Computer usage analytics are now available, giving admins and individuals visibility into how Computer is being used at both the organisation and individual level.

Admins can view org-wide analytics to break down credit usage by day across their team, see top users on a usage leaderboard, and understand how Computer is being used org-wide — artefacts generated, top connectors, top skills, top spaces, and average task duration. Data can be exported for custom analysis.

Individuals can view their own analytics to break down personal credit usage by day and explore their usage in the same detail: artefacts generated, top connectors, top skills, top spaces, and average task duration.

To get started, visit admin analytics and personal analytics.

Context panel

Every computer thread now has a context panel that shows the context that Computer is working on. The context panel is a dedicated workspace where live progress, generated artefacts, and credit usage appear side-by-side with your conversation. This helps you quickly track what’s happening with your task, access outputs as they’re generated, and stay in control from start to finish. All answers contain sources and inline citations directly to the source, including traceable claims for financial data.
