Managing Computer credits

Your organisation pays for the work Perplexity Computer does with credits. When Computer builds a dashboard, analyses a set of files, or runs a workflow that spans days or weeks, it draws credits to cover that work. Standard Perplexity searches are covered by your subscription, so credits are spent only on the longer, multi-step tasks Computer handles.

Members access credits in two layers. Every seat includes a monthly allocation that members spend first: 500 credits on Enterprise Pro and 15,000 on Enterprise Max. Admins can fund a shared organisation pool that covers usage beyond it. Allocations refresh on the organisation's billing cycle date and do not roll over. Members who join mid-cycle receive the full allocation for that cycle.

Setup starts in Organisation settings, under Organisation credits. Selecting Get started walks you through accepting the usage-based billing terms, adding credits to the pool, and setting a default usage limit for the organisation. From there, auto-refill keeps the pool funded on its own, up to a monthly reload limit you choose.

Usage limits decide how much of the pool each member can draw once their own allocation is spent. Limits are named and then assigned to groups or to individual members, so a contractor and a daily user on the same plan can have very different ceilings. When a member belongs to more than one group, the highest limit applies. A limit assigned to a person directly takes precedence over any group assignment.

Organisation credits is also where you follow usage as it happens, with each member's remaining balance, the pool balance, and current consumption in one view. Organisation credits shows member balances, pool balance, and usage in one view. If users run out of credits, their active work pauses and new credit-consuming tasks are blocked, with progress saved. Funding the pool or raising the member's limit restores access, and paused work picks up where it stopped.
