Financial data in Research and Labs, search your Spaces, and follow MLB
Financial Data in Research and Labs
Perplexity Research and Labs can now access financial data like realtime stock prices, trading volume history, and financial statement data. This is automatically enabled for all questions, no toggling needed.
You can try it with Research and Labs queries like these:
- compare S&P 500 vs. NASDAQ Composite trading volume over the last 6 months, in a graph
- create an interactive stock screener app that lets me filter stocks (US equities only) by market cap, stock price, 2024 revenue, and EBITDA margin. I should be able to drag sliders to filter for these values, and the companies that meet the criteria get shown in a table, and it all updates as I adjust the screener values
- analyze the latest NVDA balance sheet
- create an interactive table comparing Tesla's 2023 cash flow to Rivian's 2023 cash flow. I should be able to move my mouse over any row in the table to get an explanation of key factors that drove that line item
- what were solana's 5 highest-volume days of 2025 so far, and reasons for each spike
Latest Price Movement table on Finance pages
Perplexity Finance pages now feature a timeline of recent price movement. These timelines (check one out here) help you get a quick understanding of what factors are important for each ticker.
Search your Spaces from the home page
On web, you can now search your Spaces by @mentioning them directly from Perplexity’s main search. A faster way to retrieve the context you need. Mentioning Spaces is coming soon to Tasks as well.
Follow MLB ⚾️ 🏟️
You can now add MLB teams to your watchlist by Following a team page or via Personalisation. Adding a team to your watchlist will send Live Activity scores to iOS during games, which you can tap on to access the full game pages with detailed stats and news. You can also follow the action from around the entire MLB here.
Memory Search
It’s now easier to filter your memories with search: search by the domain of the memory (programming, sports, etc) or by keyword in the actual memory.
