Personal Computer is now available on Mac inside Perplexity’s upgraded desktop app. Personal Computer expands the capabilities of Computer to include local file editing, local computer use, local browsing with Comet, voice orchestration, and more.

Computer Improvements
Opus 4.7 is now available in Computer
Claude Opus 4.7 is now the default orchestrator model for Computer. Choose Claude Opus 4.7 for higher-quality reasoning, writing, and coding tasks. As of today, you can now choose between Claude Opus 4.7, GPT-5.4, and Claude Sonnet 4.6 to be the main orchestrator model.

More control over background agents
Computer now gives you more control over agents while they work in the background. Long-running research, browsing, and coding work is easier to steer without restarting: click to stop a running subagent or type a follow-up instruction mid-task.
As before, you can prompt Computer to choose any of the available 20+ models for your subagents.
Computer in Spaces
Computer is now available in Spaces, giving every Space an evolving context layer for collaborative work.
You can use Computer in a Space to create and edit docs, slides, sheets, and other files, then save them back to the Space so collaborators can review, search, and update them over time. Computer edits its own files and remembers its progress across threads to curate its own knowledge base for your work.
Spaces also now build and maintain memories from your interactions, making each Space more personalized and useful the more you work in it.

Personal CFO
You can now connect Computer to your bank accounts, credit cards, and loans: securely powered by Plaid.
Computer is now your personal CFO, letting you track spending in detail, build custom budget tools, and visualize your net worth alongside your investment portfolio.
Anyone on web in the US and Canada can link their accounts, access their portfolio, and ask Perplexity about their finances. See this example of a custom spending tracker heatmap you can ask Computer to make:
