Premium data sources give Perplexity users access to licensed content from publishers and data providers that is not available on the open web, searchable directly inside Perplexity with full citations.
There are two kinds. Included premium sources are built into Perplexity, and you can use them without any partner account. Licensed connectors link Perplexity to a subscription you already hold with a data partner, so your entitled data can answer your questions.
These sources are available to all Perplexity users, with no separate login, subscription, or activation. Just select them when starting a search, or mention them in your question. You can run a limited number of premium queries each day, with exact limits varying by plan.
Wiley: business, STEM, psychology, and medical books, plus wide-ranging journals in health and life sciences.
PitchBook Essentials: profiles of millions of private and public companies, with basic firmographics, funding history, key investors, and leadership details.
CB Insights: market trends, market maps, and company activity for startup tracking and innovation monitoring.
Statista: global statistics, market data, trend analysis, and forecasts.
Midpage: 13.8M U.S. federal and state court opinions, statutes, regulations, and constitutions with an AI-powered citator.
Licensed connectors are available to Perplexity Pro, Max, and Enterprise users who hold an eligible license with the data partner. You sign in with your existing partner account; no separate data contract with Perplexity is required. See the launch announcement for more background on the licensed finance connectors.
FactSet: compliant, finance-grade answers grounded in your authorized FactSet data.
Morningstar: investment research and data from your authorized Morningstar subscription.
Daloopa: fundamentals and model data from your authorized Daloopa Core or Premium subscription.
Carbon Arc: real-time market and macro insight from institutional-grade alternative data.
Zacks: standardized financial statements and reported fundamentals for North American public companies.
Wisesheets: SEC-sourced fundamentals, financial statements, and metrics with linked filing citations.
AlphaCreek: navigate and cite U.S. SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 20-F, 6-K, 8-K) with verifiable citation links.
Canary Data: accounting red flags, insider-trading signals, fundamentals, and management risk indicators for public companies.
MT Newswires: real-time global financial news covering equities, fixed income, commodities, FX, and macroeconomics.
Quartr: earnings calls, transcripts, filings, and investor presentations covering 16,000+ public companies.
Stocktwits: market sentiment, including trending tickers, message volume, and bullish or bearish signals.
IBISWorld: industry, company, and market research intelligence.
Interactive Brokers (IBKR): global market analysis with your Interactive Brokers account. Perplexity can draft trade instructions for your review, but never submits orders directly to the market.
Guidepoint: a compliance-reviewed library of expert interview transcripts, with firsthand knowledge from executives, key-opinion leaders, and industry professionals.
Crunchbase: live data on companies, funding rounds, investors, and people.
Grata: private company data for M\&A sourcing, live deals, and firmographic intelligence.
D\&B Commercial Graph: company matching to D-U-N-S numbers plus firmographic, credit risk, ownership, payment, and industry data from Dun & Bradstreet.
Chronograph: private-markets fund performance, portfolio company metrics, documents, and portfolio exposures.
AngelList: fund operations, including capital accounts, LP subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, and fund documents.
Flanks: multi-bank investment data for wealth managers: portfolio holdings, positions, and transactions across European banks.
Octus: credit intelligence across the credit lifecycle, including filings, transcripts, covenants, and deal-term analytics.
Papermark: data rooms and secure document sharing with visitor engagement analytics.
Coinbase: your Coinbase portfolios, accounts, orders, and trade history.
Base by Coinbase: your Base Account, for checking balances, sending funds, swapping tokens, and paying with x402. Every transaction requires your explicit approval before it executes.
OpenSea: NFT and token data, including collections, listings, offers, sales, and prices, across OpenSea-supported chains.
Allium: multichain blockchain data, including token transfers, wallet activity, DeFi protocols, and payment flows.
NOTE: Several partners require a separate entitlement for connector access beyond a standard subscription. For example, FactSet MCP access is not included by default with FactSet Workstation, Guidepoint MCP access must be enabled by Guidepoint, and Morningstar requires an MCP server license or a Morningstar Direct subscription. If a sign-in fails or you do not see the data you expect after connecting, contact your account representative at the data partner.
Included premium sources need no activation. To connect a licensed connector:
Open Perplexity in your browser and sign in.
Click Settings under your organization icon in the bottom-left corner, then open the Connectors settings page.
Search for the data partner in the connectors catalog and click the tile.
Click Add (or Enable).
Sign in with your partner account credentials when prompted and approve the authorization request.
Confirm that the connector shows as connected. It is now available as a source in your searches.
NOTE: On Enterprise plans, an administrator may need to enable a connector for your organization before it appears for individual users.
To direct a question at a premium source, type @ in the input box and select it, or click the + icon and choose Connectors and sources. You can also just ask your question normally: when it matches the kind of data a connected source provides, Perplexity selects it automatically.
Example questions to try:
Your usage of a licensed connector is subject to the quotas and entitlements of your partner account, and the connector operates under your existing agreement with that partner.
Every answer is precise, fully cited, and deeply sourced for maximum confidence and clarity.
