# Can I use my ChatGPT or Claude.ai account with Perplexity?

<p>No, Perplexity operates independently of ChatGPT, and <a href="/help-center/help-center/en/articles/10352901-what-is-perplexity-pro">Perplexity Pro</a> is separate from ChatGPT Plus. While we use OpenAI models, our setup is distinct from ChatGPT’s account and subscription structure.</p>
