# I am having issues signing in

> Here's some basic troubleshooting when you are encountering problems signing in.

<p>We recommend using a Gmail or Apple account to sign in to Perplexity, as other email clients may have issues. We are working to improve the login experience.</p>

<p>If you cannot sign in, check the following:</p>

  <Step title="Open the link on the same device you are using Perplexity on." />

  <Step title="Verify your email provider is not blocking any links." />

  <Step title="Disable any email scanners." />

<p>If issues persist, use the <b>Contact support</b> button in the top navigation bar of this Help Center. You will not be able to use Help > Contact Support unless you are signed in.</p>

<h2 id="h_44f5dce666">Why can’t I sign in to the mobile app?</h2>

<p>If you're having trouble signing in to the mobile app, try these steps:</p>

  <Step title="Open the login link on the same device where you're using the Perplexity app." />

<p>For a smoother experience, consider signing in via your Google or Apple account.</p>
