# Fix connection and loading errors on Comet

<h2 id="h_fee1c6e8ff">Why am I getting errors like “Aw, Snap!” or connection problems?</h2>

<p>These errors usually mean there’s a temporary issue loading a page.<br />Common causes include unstable internet connection, restrictive security software, conflicting extensions, or temporary website downtime.</p>

<h2 id="h_9a918b1b80">What can I do to fix connection or loading errors?</h2>

<ul>
  <li>
    <p>Double-check the website address and reload the page.</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Make sure your device is online and not in Airplane Mode.</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Check your firewall, antivirus, and VPN to make sure Comet is allowed access.</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Close and restart Comet.</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Ensure Comet is updated to the latest version.</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Try opening the page in <b>Incognito mode</b> (this disables extensions).</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Disable any extensions that might interfere with loading.</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Clear browsing data (cache and cookies).</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Close other tabs or apps if your device is low on memory.</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>If the issue persists, you can try and reset Comet to default in <i>Settings → Reset settings.</i></p>
  </li>
