# Operating System Requirements

<p>Comet Browser is currently available for desktop computers running one of the following operating systems:</p>

<p><b>Supported systems:</b></p>

<ul>
  <li>
    <p><b>Windows 10 and 11</b> (64-bit x64 and ARM64 versions; Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and Win32 are not supported)</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p><b>macOS 13 (Ventura)</b> or <b>macOS 14 (Sonoma)</b> and later (Intel and Apple Silicon)</p>
  </li>
</ul>

<h2 id="h_c1ff9a72b3">Minimum system requirements</h2>

<p>To run Comet smoothly, your computer should meet or exceed the following specifications:</p>

<ul>
  <li>
    <p><b>Processor:</b> Intel or AMD 64-bit processor, or Apple Silicon (dual-core or better)</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p><b>Memory:</b> 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p><b>Disk space:</b> At least <b>2 GB</b> free for installation (5–6 GB recommended for long-term use and smooth performance)</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p><b>Display:</b> 1280×800 resolution or higher</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p><b>Internet connection:</b> Required for installation, updates, and online features</p>
  </li>
</ul>

<p>Keeping your operating system and graphics drivers up to date helps ensure optimal performance.</p>

<p>Comet Browser is <b>not officially supported</b> on:</p>

<ul>
  <li>
    <p>Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, Mint, Red Hat, etc.)</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>ChromeOS (Chromebooks)</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>iOS and Android devices</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Windows versions prior to Windows 10</p>
  </li>

  <li>
    <p>Other systems such as BSD, Solaris, HarmonyOS, KaiOS, etc.</p>
  </li>
</ul>
